Keel Spine and Movement

Come in. Tell us where it hurts.

Chiropractic and movement care for people who want to get back to what they do, not sign up for a lifetime of visits.

Book a first visit

The room is quiet on purpose.

One patient at a time. No open-plan tables, no music, no one waiting behind you.

Fifty-five minutes. No rush to the table.

Most of your first visit happens standing, moving and talking. The table comes last.

Start with where it hurts

The practice

We treat the reason, not the noise it makes.

Keel is a two-practitioner clinic for backs, necks and the hips that hold them up. Adjustment is one tool among several. Most plans combine hands-on treatment with three or four exercises you can actually remember.

By region

Where does it hurt? Start there.

CervicalC1 to C7 · neck

Desk neck, headaches, the stiff turn when reversing the car.

Usually the upper back has stopped moving and the neck is doing its job for it.

  • Gentle mobilisation before any adjustment
  • Thoracic work, because the neck rarely acts alone
  • Two exercises for the desk, timed to your meetings

The model on the shelf is the one we use to show you what is actually moving.
ThoracicT1 to T12 · mid back

The tight band between the shoulder blades that no stretch reaches.

The twelve vertebrae that carry the ribs are built for rotation, and most days they get none.

  • Specific adjustment where the segments have stopped rotating
  • Rib mobilisation for the deep breath that catches
  • A rotation drill you can do against a door frame

Treatment is explained before it happens. Nothing is done on the table that we have not talked through standing up.
LumbarL1 to L5 · low back

The morning it went when you bent to pick up something small.

Acute low back pain is frightening and usually not dangerous. The first job is to tell the difference.

  • Red-flag screen first, every time
  • Treatment that day if it is safe, positions that ease it if it is not
  • Walking before any exercise, then loading step by step
The oak adjustment table in the sunlit treatment room
The table drops and tilts, so treatment is possible even on the days you cannot lie flat.
Pelvis and hipssacrum · SI joints

The hip that tightens at kilometre eight, every single run.

Running and cycling problems usually start with a pelvis that is not sharing the load evenly.

  • Video of you walking and running, reviewed together
  • SI joint and hip capsule work
  • A return-to-running plan in weeks, with distances

Most of our runners come back for a check at the start of each training block, then we do not see them.

What happened, what makes it worse, what you need to get back to. Sitting down, no forms on a clipboard.

Movement screen

Standing, bending, turning, single-leg balance and a short walk. Filmed if it helps to show you.

00:30 to 00:45

Treatment

Hands-on work and, if it is the right tool, adjustment. You will know what is about to happen before it does.

00:45 to 00:55

Plan and homework

What we think is going on, how many visits it is likely to take, and three exercises with a printed sheet.
